Jeez Louize, arn’t you guys sick of all the pink yet? I know I am! Fall Collection 10 is in full production and expect to see something completely different from Alyssa Nicole this season.

San Francisco Fashion Week

SFFAMA is presenting San Francisco Fashion Week 2010 in hopes to re-invent SF’s fashion industry and to help support local designers! I am going to be participating in showcasing garments from my Spring 10 and Bird by Alyssa Nicole lines during SFFW. I hope that everyone who hasn’t yet gotten a chance to see my line go down the runway can come out and support! I am excited to put some more dresses down the runway

Spring on the Runway

So I recently participated in Aspiring Couture’s Spring on the Runway event in Campbell, CA. I showcased my Spring 2010 Collection with jewelry donated by other participating jewelry designers for the event. The jewelry was a lovely added touch, it was nice to see my collection styled a bit differently. I had my stylist, Tavesiezs, style my collection with the jewelry for the show, so it was her first official job as my stylist! She did a great job picking out jewelry and matching it to each garment.

Alyssa Nicole Spring 2010 Runway Debut

My runway debut is here! Last year, at this time, upon my high school graduation..I never would have thought I would be preparing to have my clothing line featured in runway shows! During the month of June my Spring collection 2010 will be featured in 2 bay area shows. I am so excited!!! Join me in celebrating my Spring 2010 collection at these events!

Bird by Alyssa Nicole Summer 2010 is my most affordable collection yet! This dress is one of my pieces from the collection. I experimented with fabric dying for this collection. I actually designed this collection to sell at the Chictopia Shop Social, but I ended up selling tons of pieces from my Spring 10 collection instead. So I decided to list all the pieces on my Etsy.

While searching for a photo shoot location, I found the perfect secret garden downtown! ANDI found a secret labyrinth. David Bowie wasn’t there though, so it wasn’t that sick.

Alyssa In Wonderland
A few weeks ago Tavesiez styled a photo shoot using dresses from my Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 collections. The photo shoot was Alice in Wonderland inspired, but with a little bird twist. (Hence, Alyssa in Wonderland ) Kenya modeled Alice and I modeled the Queen of Hearts. This photo shoot was too much fun.

On a mission in the Mission

Cinco de Mayo is coming up in a few days now and I am super excited to celebrate my heritage and eat lots of yummy Mexican food! The other day I went thrift store shopping in the Mission with Tavesiez for her styling project. I let her use a bunch of dresses from my Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 collections for the shoot. She completely styled the whole thing and I even got to model in it! It was probably one of the funnest photoshoots I have ever been a part of. Hopefully Tavesiez stops lagging and sends me the photos from the photo shoot so I can put them in my blog ASAP!
Hmm, Mothers Day is also right around the corner and I think I owe my Mom a special skirt or dress designed by Alyssa Nicole…her little bird . Until then, I have more dress orders then I can handle, I am procrastinating a few as I speak, back to work!

Sundayz in SF
Lately I have been taking advantage of the beautiful sunny days in San Francisco. Finally I am able to wear the new skirts and tops I have designed! My new collection Bird by Alyssa Nicole Summer 2010 should be coming out shortly and I will be sure to keep everyone updated on the shows I am showing at during the month of June. Right now is my busiest season due to proms and I have been making tons of custom prom dresses. I have made some really beautiful dresses and I can’t wait for all my customers to send me pictures from prom so I can feature them on my customs page.
