The Chictopia and DNA Shop Social was so much fun! The only disappointing thing was the fact that I designed an entirely new collection Bird by Alyssa Nicole Spring/Summer 2010 and no one really noticed it! Everyone was too distracted by the hot pink dresses from my Spring 2010 Collection! I guess its not a bad thing, it just means everyone really likes it so I guess I shouldn’t be complaining. I also designed a bunch of mini dresses for teddy bears which I like to call “Lil Bearz” and they were a hit at the Shop Social. The Lil bearz are just too cute, you can’t help but love them! Oh AND I experimented in designing hats for the first time and made my first cocktail hat. I wore the cocktail hat to shop social and everyone seemed to like it. I met a lot of really nice people at the event, met with a lot of fashion bloggers too. I recognized a few of them, but I thought it would be weird if I told them I recognized them and follow their blogs, I always get really weird reactions from bloggers when I tell them I like their blogs, and sometimes I wonder if I give the same weird reaction when people recognize me. Anywayz, at the Shop Social they set up my vendor spot right next to the cupcakes and I pretty much ate cupcakes all night, I have a sweet tooth…couldn’t help it :). My stylist/favorite Tavesiez (Sara) came to help out for the Shop Social, she wore my Spiderwebz dress from my Spring 2010 dress and looked supa cute in it! We had a lot of fun mingling with people and eating the cupcakes.
