I have spent most of my summer in San Francisco going to school for design. I’ve been working really hard all summer, and I’m starting to see all my hard work pay off. I interviewed for an internship last month for Macy’s Passport runway show, and I actually got it! So I am super excited to start interning, its a styling internship for the women’s team for the show. This is going to be my first runway show EVER and I actually get to be a part of it, and help put the show together. Macy’s Passport is said to be the biggest runway show in San Francisco, its a really big deal, and its also for a good cause. The show raises money to help support hiv/aids foundations, so I am very happy that I get to help out and be a part of it. 

I just went home this weekend to visit my family and friends and I got the chance to do a really last minute photo shoot with my best friend/personal photographer for a few dresses I had recently designed. They will be featured in my Bird by Alyssa Nicole collection. The two dresses are 60s styled cocktail/party dresses, very Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Also, I am currently in the process of designing some handbags for the collections, and they will be done by the end of the month. 

I am planning on designing my Spring 2010 collection within the next few months as well.
